C-SNIP is pleased it can be a resource and solution strategy for pet owners and rescue groups committed to preventing accidental and unwanted litters to those at-risk dogs and cats living in the Lakeshore region. In November 1998, a small group of West Michigan Animal Welfare activists met to address the need for a reduced-fee dog and cat sterilization clinic open to the public. The veterinarian staff at C-SNIP are specialists to the spay and neuter field and have preformed over 65,000 spay/ neuter surgeries since C-SNIP began in 2001. This appointment is for a follow-up booster vaccine (3-4 weeks after previous dose) plus added flea/tick or heartworm preventatives, such as Catego, Vectra. C-SNIP's mission is to significantly reduce the over-population of dogs and cats in West Michigan by providing reduced cost, high quality spay and neuter services and by supporting all efforts that promote humane population control. This appointment type is NOT for routine vaccinations, but to address a specific issue, such as eyes, ears, or skin.
